About the Project
The objective is to highlight Snowflakes’s ability to create a singular enterprise data warehouse enabling a variety of different data types, use cases, and end users. Aptitive has created and built 6 individual projects that all have their data centrally located within Snowflake. The project will use Snowflake’s INFORMATION_SCHEMA, along with taking advantage of Snowflake’s proprietary query profiler to analyze Aptitive’s usage of Snowflake. This information will then be displayed in Tableau, showcasing which projects have the largest Snowflake footprint (in terms of storage) and which projects are the most active (in terms of actively querying). Using Tableau visualizations, attendees will watch in real time as data storage grows and Snowflake’s data warehouses perform complex computations by each booth, all adding up to one central picture telling the story of the Aptitive (data) Science Fair. For additional insight and information, attendees will be able to monitor Snowflake’s GUI-based query profiler to get insight into how Snowflake performs its computations and ways to make them more efficient.
