In 5 words or fewer, describe what Aptitive means to you. Aptitive enriches my life daily.

What is your ideal start to your day? Weekdays are hectic, so I like to start each one peacefully. That means an early wakeup to make time for coffee and learning. While it is still quiet, I spend about 30 minutes to an hour reading or doing other educational activities while enjoying my coffee each morning.

What is a skill you’ve gained or improved on while with Aptitive, and how did Aptitive contribute? So many. Seriously. Most of the skills are technical, as one might expect, but the one that had the most impact was not technical. It was learning how to be a consultant and how to consult. That encompasses a lot, I know, but it is the most accurate description.

Transitioning to consulting after working on the industry side for more than 15 years was tough, in part because it was something I had never even considered. The pace is so much faster, and you have to utilize a much broader set of skills, to name just a couple of differences. But Aptitive has such a great culture made up of very talented and supportive colleagues. That made the transition much more manageable.

What is something that recently made you smile? Having had the rare occasion to sit down for a family meal, I could not take my eyes off of my three-year-old niece as she attempted to eat a chicken drumstick and coleslaw. It was hysterical!

Nik Subaric - Aptitive September Employee Spotlight

In 5 words or fewer, describe what Aptitive means to you. Engaging work with talented individuals

What is your ideal start to your day? My morning routine lately has consisted of a news podcast, followed by a set time of mindfulness. I used to like going to the gym in the morning, but now I save that for later on, as I don’t want to have too much fun immediately as I wake up. Then I’ll eat breakfast, followed by coffee, as I begin to check my email and start the day.

What is a skill you’ve gained or improved on while with Aptitive, and how did Aptitive contribute? I have learned how to excel in Tableau! I am very grateful for the guidance among my colleagues to help me achieve certifications and for providing insight to questions I have asked. Being confident in my Tableau skills has allowed me to offer more valuable and creative solutions to business analytics problems.

What is something that recently made you smile? Going out to lunch with my coworkers
